Haunted at the Spaghetti Warehouse in Toledo, Ohio
We’ve all heard the rumors of strange events taking place inside one of Toledo’s most popular restaurants, but rarely have we heard from someone who actually worked there and experienced the haunting phenomena for themselves.
Last year, a former employee of the Spaghetti Warehouse wrote Haunted Toledo to tell us, in her own words, about the paranormal weirdness she encountered while working there.
Tara* writes, “I worked at the Spaghetti Warehouse for 8 years. During that time I had numerous encounters with the spirits that are in the building.”
In one instance, she recounted, “I closed the restaurant one Sunday and was scheduled to open the following morning. We cleaned and filled everything on the tables before leaving that night. When I arrived on Monday, my manager was upset because of the close the night before. Not understanding why I followed him to the private room I’d worked in the night before. The chairs were everywhere and the sugars that had been on the tables now covered the floor. With the look on my face and my hair on my arms visibly standing up, he could tell the room wasn’t how I’d left it.”
“Another time strange things happened was once again after the restaurant had closed. I was 8 months pregnant. I went to the basement to use the restroom. All of the stall doors were open when I walked in. Within seconds of me being in there, the toilet next to me flushed and you could hear a stall door fly open and slam shut. The presence of someone else in the bathroom with me was strong, but no one else was there.”
“Typically I was a bartender, which meant getting my beer from a storage room in the basement. When I was down there one evening, I felt breathing on the back of my neck and could literally feel my hair move. Once again every hair on my body stood up because I knew I wasn’t alone. From there on out I paid a busser to do my basement runs.”
“There are plenty more stories but I think this will give you the gist of it. It was a wild place to work. From all the stories and encounters, we think there are two men and a woman that haunt the building. If you should ever get something together and go looking, I’d love to be a part of it.”
